The Demon Barber comes to College
Academic
Academic life is flourishing at College. A benefit of being a large school is that we can offer a huge variety of subjects in almost any combination. Until the age of 16, all girls study Maths, English, Science, at least one Modern Language and ICT. In the Sixth Form girls can opt to study the International Baccalaureate (IB) or A Levels. Those that follow the A Level route will normally take four AS levels in the first year (some take five) and then continue with three (or four) of these to A2 level in their final year.
Under the direction of The Principal, The Vice-Principal Academic and Departmental Heads, much care and attention is devoted to proper planning and resourcing of all our academic facilities. Regular, constructive feedback between teacher and pupil, in all aspects of work and play, is at the heart of our success in allowing each girl to realise her true potential.
