Health Realted Fitness

We believe that learning about fitness is an essential part of the sport curriculum at College. Fitness is developed during all sport lessons throughout the year and girls are able to take part in activities such as aerobics, athletics, cross-country, multi-gym and fitness club if they wish to improve their general fitness levels. We also assess fitness at least twice a year using the Multi-Stage Fitness Test. Aerobics is taught as part of the options programme from UC4 upwards.

In LC3 heath related fitness is a compulsory part of their options programme. Girls learn about the different components of fitness and why they are important in maintaining good levels of health and well-being. This option gives girls an excellent insight into the GCSE Physical Education course.
