Lacrosse is one of the three major games that are played during the autumn and spring terms. It is a compulsory part of the curriculum for girls in LC1 and LC2 and can be continued as an option from LC3 upwards. There is an extensive fixture list arranged for the season which includes weekday fixtures against local schools as well as matches against other boarding schools on Saturday afternoons. There are also interhouse matches for all year groups. In addition to matches against other schools and colleges CLC enters into the following tournaments and competitions:
We also encourage girls who are of a high enough standard to attend Gloucestershire County Trials and West of England trials. We advertise summer coaching camps which girls often take part in as a means of further developing their skills and talents. There are also regular lacrosse tours abroad to destinations such as the United States .
The teams train together once a week during curriculum time, and once a week in the evening as part of the clubs and practices programme. There is also a lacrosse goalie club organised especially for the goal keepers.
In the 2003/4 season, 24 College girls represented Gloucestershire at County Lacrosse , 4 gained places in the West of England squad and 1 girl played for England at the U19 home internationals.
