Netball is one of the three major sports played during the autumn and spring terms. It is a compulsory part of the curriculum for girls in LC1 and LC2 and can be continued as an option from LC3 upwards. There are four senior teams, two under 15 teams, two under 14 teams, three under 13 teams and three under 12 teams. There is an extensive fixture list arranged for the season which includes weekday fixtures against local schools as well as matches against other boarding schools on Saturday afternoons. There are also interhouse matches for all year groups. In addition to matches against other schools and colleges CLC enters into the following tournaments and competitions:
We encourage girls who are of a high enough standard to attend Gloucestershire County Trials and Cheltenham and District coaching sessions. We also organise summer coaching camps to further develop skills and talents. There are also regular tours abroad to destinations such as South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Barbados and Antigua.
The teams train together once a week during curriculum time, and once a week in the evening as part of the clubs and practices programme.
