In addition to its fine academic reputation, College is also proud of its strong sporting tradition. We offer a broad and well balanced Physical Education curriculum, which aims to involve all girls in sport, regardless of ability. It also produces many fine sports teams and individual sportswomen in a variety of different sports. Teams and individuals often take part in competitions, tournaments and championships at Regional and National levels.
CLC currently holds a Sportsmark Award from Sport England for the quality of its physical education and sports provision. College is one of the few schools to achieve a Distinction level award. Sportsmark is awarded to schools that have effective policies and practices for the provision of a well-balanced physical education programme; for developing an out-of-school-hours programme that offers a range of opportunities to students and for enabling young people to move from school sport to sport in the community
In the pages that follow, we try to give you a flavour of the 40 different sporting activities on offer at CLC so you can see why we have over 80 different teams!
