Swimming is a major sport that girls take part in during the summer term. It is a compulsory part of the curriculum for girls in LC1, LC2 and LC3 and can be continued as an option from UC4 upwards. In addition to learning about the different strokes girls taught life-saving skills, synchronised swimming and water polo. There are swimming teams for every age group from under 13 to senior. There is an extensive fixture list arranged for the season which includes weekday galas against local schools and galas against other boarding schools on Saturday afternoons. There is also an inter house competition for all age groups. In addition to matches against other schools and colleges CLC enters into the following tournaments and competitions:
The swimming club meets for team training twice a week all year round. In addition to this the swimming pool is open for recreational swimming before and after College and at the weekends.
