Sport

Sport will be an important part of your life at College. During your time here, you will be able to participate in a wide variety of different sports, developing your individual skills and learning the value of teamwork and the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. We hope when you leave us you will take with you a lifelong passion for sport.

If you have already developed a particular talent, our expert tuition and excellent facilities will ensure you achieve your potential. If you have yet to find your sporting passion or interest you will be able to do so through the enormous range of sports on offer.

We are the only school in the country that plays the three major winter games, hockey, lacrosse and netball, up to First Team standard throughout the winter and spring terms. We therefore have a busy fixture list with up to 20 teams playing every Saturday. This means there are plenty of team places for all girls and no girl is prevented from partaking in a sport on the grounds of lack of ability.

There is a wide and varied extra-curricular programme on offer at College. Sports Clubs and practices run on weekdays between 5pm and 6.30pm and are open to all girls of all abilities. If you represent College in one of the many teams you will be required to attend the relevant club for your particular age group. You will run through set pieces, play mini games, receive specialist coaching and develop specific skills for upcoming matches.
