Highest IB Results for CLC

Girls studying the International Baccalaureate at College are celebrating some remarkable results this year, achieving the best results in the Diploma since CLC started teaching the qualification four years ago.

The cohort of girls averaged 41 points each (out of 45) more than a point higher than last year’s excellent average of 39.5 points, with one girl being awarded a prestigious Bilingual Diploma. All of the girls met their university offers: a number of girls are going on to study at Oxford and Cambridge; Ivy League Colleges, Yale, Princeton and Columbia and three girls met offers to study Medicine.  Nearly 80% of girls achieved 40 points or over and at least one Level 7 at Higher Level, both of which are benchmarks of excellence. As last year, CLC had a candidate who achieved the extraordinary distinction of attaining a maximum of 45 points.

Eve Jardine-Young, Principal, said, ‘The results are a well-deserved reward for the girls who have thoroughly embraced the Diploma and its values, thriving on the broad and challenging curriculum’.
