In an under 13 County local league match against Strings of Tewkesbury, the U13's lost 4-0. The U19 and U16’s won 5-0 in matches against Cheltenham College.
In matches against Malvern the 1st, 2nd, U15 and U14 teams all won scoring a total of 61 goals! Team places are awarded to Sophie Gearing, Sarah Murray, Camilla Toogood and Timeyin Olumide.
Congratulations to Abi Flynn, Pippa Dafione, Sophie Powell, Harriet Newton, Cecily Melsom and Emma Cattermole, who represented the West of England at the Junior territorial Tournament on Sunday and Sarah Murray who represented Wales. A fantastic achievement for CLC lacrosse.
During the week the U14 A and B teams came up against Cheltenham College, unluckily the A’s lost 2-1, but the B’s came away with a well deserved 3-1 win.
The 2nd XI played some good hockey against Kings Worcester this weekend to create excellent chances in front of goal, leading to a 3-0 win. Team places go to Jo Hughston, Imogen Naylor Higgs and Teleri Hollis. In junior matches a total of 18 goals were scored by winning U15, U14, U13 and U12 teams, with only one goal conceded.
The U18 made a slow start to this prestigious tournament drawing with Clifton Hockey Club and losing to Millfield. However CLC got stronger and stronger, winning 3-0 against Blundells and 3-2 against Canford.
These excellent results saw the team progress to the semi-final stage against club side ISCA. The match finished 1-1 before progressing to strokes. Despite 2 magnificent saves from Issy Davies, we were unlucky to lose 1-0. Without Captain, Laura Jaques, who was at Oxford on interview, this was an outstanding squad performance and congratulations must go to Mr Bam and all the girls on their achievements throughout the day.

Football
The Seniors beat Malvern College 8 – 5, with fantastic goals from Amanda Salloum and Charlotte Kwan!
Fives
10 SFCs travelled down to Westminster school for CLCs first ever Eton Fives match. CLC lost 5 sets to 2. Team places are awarded to Alex and Antonia for their first fives victory!
Hockey
In matches against Taunton the 1st XI drew 1-1, the 2XI won 2-0 and the 3XI lost 4-0
Team places are awarded to Hattie Klim, Sophie McGown, Molly Vincent and Dani Dunn.
Netball
There were 8 netball teams in action over the weekend against Wolverhampton Grammar School.
The U15b team had their best game of the season, playing competitively throughout and winning the game 22-17.
Lacrosse
The 1st, 2nd and U15 lacrosse teams travelled to St Swithun’s on Saturday. All three teams put in an excellent performance beating all of Monmouth’s teams. Matches against St Swithun’s proved more challenging, but the 2nd team managed to break through St Swithun’s strong defence to win 8-4.
The 3rd team, U15B, U14A, U13A and U12A and B all played Westonbirt and Sherborne. Particular mention must go to the 3rd team who bravely took on the 1st teams of the other schools.
Team places are awarded to Caroline Walker, Emma Cattermole, Abi Flynn, Flora Sowerby, Caroline St Quinton, Sophie Powell, Fleur Adderley, Cecily Melsom, Annie Styler, Philippa Dafinone, Emma Saric, Amabel Clark, Rebecca Towning and Ophelia Taylor.
Squash
In matches against Cheltenham College, the under 19's won 3/0 and the under 16’s won 3-0. Well done to both teams.

In matches against RGSAO, the 1st team produced their best performance of the season, winning the game 26-16. Special mention must go to Laura Gane who played her first full game for the team. A good performance was seen by the 3rds and the Under 15 a team, winning 23-21, with excellent performances from both Tali Stevens and Sophie Cockram.
In the district competition on Friday over 20 girls represented CLC. A number of girls were selected to run at the county championships, particularly mention must go to Emily Swait who finished 3rd . At the Gloucestershire league the Under 17 team ran away with the title again, with Imogen Simmonds bringing the team home first in 3rd place.
Congratulations to the 7 CLC girls who attended West trials at the weekend. All 7 have been selected to attend the next round of trials.
In matches against Morton Hall the U15 and U14 teams lost and in matches against St Mary’s Calne the U15 won 6-4 and the U14 won 11-1.
Team places are awarded to Liv Adams, Cecily Higham, Dido Tetley, Georgie Champion de C, Alicia Hanmer, Maddie Forman, Isa Robinson and Issy Mansfield.
In the South West Schools Relay competition the senior team finished a very creditable 8th place in both races and the Inter and Junior teams finished14th and 16th.
CLC hosted their annual Under 12 and Under 13 mini hockey tournament on Saturday. The Under 13B and Under 12B teams finished in 5th place and the U13A team finished 4th. The Under 12A team played Clifton College in the final and lost 1-0.
CLC girls represented Gloucestershire at the West Hockey Championships on Sunday. The team finished in 5th place. Particular mention must go to Issy Davies who has been selected to attend an England trial next weekend.

In matches against a strong St. Edwards - Oxford we produced a pleasing set of results. The 1st team had a close match with their opposition and the 2nds had a pleasing win. At home, our 4 junior teams scored a total of 13 goals (8 of which came from the inform Under 14 A team, with Izzy Tinlsey and Katrina Gane both gaining hatricks. Mr Bam and Mrs McNulty would like to wish the 1st XI team all the very best in their forthcoming West of England finals this coming Sunday.
The U19 County Lacrosse Tournament took place on Saturday at Downe House involving 24 CLC players representing Gloucestershire. The conditions were very difficult having to play on very water logged pitches. Both teams played well with the B team finishing 7th and the A team finishing 5th.
The U15 County trials took place on Sunday with over 60 girls taking part. CLC dominated with 26 girls being selected to represent Gloucestershire.
The following girls were selected to attend West trials next weekend:
On Saturday morning, the U14 team played in the county tournament. After some competitive matches in the group stages, the team didn’t lose a game and went into the semi finals as group winners. They played Chosen Hill in a closely contested game, winning 8-4. The team progressed to the final where they beat Pates 7-4.This is the 3rd year in a row that we have won this tournament and the girls will now go to the South west Tournament to represent Gloucestershire in January.
Milfield Matches
The 1st team had a highly competitive game, and despite winning the last quarter, lost the game by 10. The 2nds were joined by U14 player Freddie Chidi-Ofong, who was named man of the match, and competed well, but were unable to over power the strength of the opposition, losing 11-29. The U15 team had the closest game, drawing with 1 minute to go, Milfield showed some clever attacking play and won the game 19-18.
Losses were also seen by the 3rd and U14 teams despite competing well throughout the game.
Division 1 winners were St Mags and Division 2 winners were Glengar/Bellairs. Congratulations.
