From London/Oxford via A40

Follow the A40 through Charlton Kings, continuing through the first main set of traffic lights (where the A40 London Road converges with the A435 Cirencester Road ), towards Cheltenham Town Centre. Take the next turning on the left into Sandford Mill Road (signposted A40 Gloucester).

Continue to the junction with Old Bath Road and turn left, then take the next right into Sandford Road , (signposted to the General Hospital ). Continue along this road, past the Hospital on the right and Cheltenham College on the left to the T-junction and traffic lights at the end.

Turn right then immediately left into Montpellier Terrace. Continue to the roundabout at the end, and turn right to go down Montpellier Walk to The Promenade, (you will see the municipal gardens on your right). Continue down past the Queen's Hotel on the right. At the next set of traffic lights be in the left hand lane and turn left into St George's Road .

Ignore the traffic bearing right, keep to the left and continue straight ahead at the first lights approximately 50 metres along St George's Road , to the next traffic lights and crossroads. You will see some of the College buildings on your left, just before the traffic lights - the Porter's Lodge has two large, wooden doors built into an archway on the left, a few yards before the lights.

Turn left at these lights into Bayshill Road and the modern College Main Entrance will be seen about 50 metres on the left with some steps leading up to the reception area.
