There are some 865 girls in College spread across Lower College, Upper College and Sixth Form. Approximately 75% are boarders and 25% day girls. Around 170 new girls join us each year mainly into Lower College (Years 7-9) and Sixth Form (Year 12). Girls come from all over Gloucestershire, the UK and the world. Many have never boarded before joining us and they have come from over 400 different junior schools and quite diverse educational backgrounds.
The current full-time teaching staff is comprised of 83 women and 29 men. There are a further 31 part-time teachers and over 40 peripatetic music and drama teachers. Over 50 of the teachers act as tutors to the girls during their time in College. There are 14 housemistresses, each with their own team of house staff, to care for the girls.
College has an excellent team of IT, administrative, catering, domestic and works support staff. They all work hard to ensure that our organisation, services and provisions are second to none.
For September 2010 the College fees are:-
£9,245 Boarding per term (for all except new entrants to Sixth Form*)
£6,207 Day per term (for all except new entrants to Sixth Form*)
* Sixth Form entrants
£10,414 Boarding per term
£7,058 Day per term
These fees include a 2% supplement. This additional income will enable College to increase directly its bursary provision. The supplement is not applicable to any girls already at College.
Other charges are made, for example, for instrumental music lessons, speech and drama and some specialised sports activities.
