Departments

The academic departments at College take pride not only in their excellent results, but also in the range of enriching lessons and activities they offer. Pupils are given a broad education as they progress from LC1 (Year 7) to SFC2 (Year 13) and our departments guide them through public exams in more than 30 subjects.

The students will study for GCSEs or IGCSEs in UC4 and UC5 (Years 10 and 11) and in SFC1 and SFC2, they opt for either A Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. 

We offer tremendous possibilities with regard to subject combinations and there are plenty of opportunity to discuss new subjects and choices at each stage. Unlike many schools, we do not have predetermined options blocks. Instead, with guidance, students choose a subject combination to suit their needs and aspirations from which the timetable is then constructed. 

Aside from the formal timetable, departments host academic conferences, organise trips at home and abroad, and host a range of co-curricular clubs.
