SFC1 Boarders

Traditional terminology: 16+
College terminology: SFC1
UK National Curriculum terminology: Year 12
Usual age range on enrolment: 15 years 8 months – 17 years 0 months

As a 16+ boarder, your daughter will start with us at the same time as about 45 other girls. She will join one of five Sixth Form Boarding Houses which are home to girls aged 16 - 18. Sizes of the houses vary but there is usually a good balance of the two year groups in each house and your daughter will be looked after by a dedicated House pastoral team, led by the Housemistress and supported by a Deputy Housemistress.

In our Sixth Form, girls can opt to either study A Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and your daughter will be asked to indicate her subject choices on the exam form which is submitted about 11 - 12 months prior to entry. We are always happy to guide and advise prospective Sixth Form day girls on subject combinations and would encourage you to arrange a visit to College if this sounds as if it may be of help.
