In the 19th century, the founding of College redefined girls’ education and our reputation spread nationally and globally.
Today, 170 years on, we are committed to continuing our pioneering role in the education of young women, offering them outstanding choice in both the academic and co-curricular spheres, to ensure that they are prepared to take their place in an increasingly complex and challenging world.
CLC Flourish is a long-term fundraising campaign in support of College’s Strategic Aims. It represents our ambition for the 21st Century: investing in women of the future, on a scale that our founders would recognise and appreciate.
Inclusivity is at the heart of this, represented by the Beale Awards, College’s means-tested bursary programme. Our main focus for the next decade will be to significantly build upon the funds available for both endowed and direct spend bursaries, enabling even more young women with potential to benefit from the manifold opportunities of a CLC education.
In order to maintain the quality of our exceptional and historic learning environment, we continue to make a significant investment in our estate, with developments such as the Parabola Arts Centre, Health and Fitness Centre, Art Building and the refurbishment of our boarding houses.
We are currently updating the Estates Masterplan and have a clear vision for how our estate needs to be adapted to meet our changing needs over the next 30 years.
We have also pledged to be carbon net zero and have started a major change programme that includes onsite energy generation and use of sector leading facilities management software. We are also designing our first carbon net zero boarding house.
Our challenge now is to further strengthen College’s position with the help of our friends and supporters. We do hope that you will choose to join us.
