Support and Other Roles

Here at Cheltenham Ladies’ College, you will be part of a large and friendly community of professionals who support our girls’ education and experience. Out of a total of 650 staff, around 400 are in full and part-time non-teaching roles, which means you’ll join a significant team of staff who keep College running smoothly every minute of the day.

In addition to those who work in pastoral roles in our Day and Boarding Houses, we have a number of departments and roles that work closely with our teaching staff and students. These include Learning Support, the Professional Guidance Centre, Examinations, Library, Data, Co-curricular as well as Science, Art and Drama Technicians.

Significant teams of Catering and Domestic staff also work across the main College site, the Parabola Arts Centre and our 15 Day and Boarding Houses.

Other support departments and roles include Admissions, IT, Estates, Works, Grounds and Gardens, HR, Finance, Marketing, Development, Events and Administration / Secretarial.

Finally, our commercial arm of College includes Events Management and the CLC Health and Fitness Centre, which is available to our girls, staff and offers membership to the public.

Opportunities

We have a huge variety of opportunities on offer and whilst some roles require a background in the education sector, many of our employees come from a commercial background, so whatever your previous experience, we could have the perfect job for you. We offer both full-time and part-time roles, some of which will be term-time only. However, a number of professional support roles are in departments that operate throughout the College academic terms and holidays.

Members of the Support Staff are given the opportunity to get involved in co-curricular activities such as clubs, DofE expeditions and Boarding House activities.

We promote the values of mutual respect and integrity at every level in the organisation, and are an equal opportunities employer. You can look forward to a genuinely rewarding role as well as career development and support for professional studies, if appropriate. Whatever your role at College we offer excellent training and development. We are also committed to promoting from within whenever we can, giving you the chance to build a great future here.

Our main teaching site is based in the heart of Cheltenham and our boarding houses and sports facilities are all based within a 10-minute walk so you will have easy access to all of the facilities that this thriving town has to offer.
