Sidney Lodge

Sidney Lodge, or "Slodge" as it is affectionately known, was initially established in 1892. Over the intervening years it has occupied three different locations (as well as a temporary home during WW2 when many of the College buildings were requisitioned by the War Office).

The house moved to its current location, a light and airy purpose-built boarding house in 2015.

From the Houseparent

"I joined CLC in 2013 as Housemistress of Sidney Lodge, having already worked as Housemistress for five years at a girls' boarding school in Wales. I took an extended maternity break from my role in 2018 to look after my two boys, who are now starting school themselves. As a family, we have all moved back to Cheltenham and we are looking forward to the new adventures ahead.

Sidney Lodge is a welcoming and homely boarding house with around 70 pupils. We have an amazing team of experienced staff who support the girls in their day-to-day life. We reside in a purpose-built boarding house, and are one of the closest junior boarding houses to College.

The Sidney Lodge values are trust, honestly, respect and consideration for others. Upholding these values promotes a happy and productive atmosphere which allows all the girls in Sidney Lodge to grow and learn."
