Weekends

When it comes to nurturing the development of girls, we think the weekends are just as important as time spent in lessons. They provide an opportunity for girls to indulge their curiosity and creativity while building confidence and encouraging socialising outside the school environment. From inspiring days out at historic sites and museums, to games in the park and ice skating, we organise plenty of activities to keep the girls entertained and stimulated.

A specially designed Weekend Programme for Lower College is planned and published at the start of each year. It features something to suit every girl’s tastes and and interests. Recent activities have included the House Music competition, a visit to the Barn Owl centre, Ceroc dancing and Discos with other schools and cave exploration in the Forest of Dean and Clearwell Caves.

Integrated into our successful co-curricular scheme, the Weekend Programme demonstrates our commitment to nurturing girls’ development both inside and outside of the classroom.

Although most aspects are not compulsory for our Day Girls, they are encouraged to participate in and benefit from all weekend activities.
