Elizabeth

Opened in 1982, Elizabeth stands on the site of a much older College boarding house, Bayshill Lawn. This original boarding house was bombed during WW2 while unoccupied after the College estate was requisitioned by the Government.

Today, Elizabeth is home to approximately 60 students, with large communal facilities including a dining room, common rooms, formal drawing room, and garden.

From the Houseparents

"We joined Elizabeth House ahead of the Autumn Term 2020, having started teaching at Cheltenham Ladies’ College in 2018. Dr Parker teaches History and Politics and Mr White teaches Geography. We live in Elizabeth with our son, Ollie.

"We are very lucky to have spent four years living and working in Southeast Asia before joining Cheltenham Ladies’ College and really enjoyed travelling in the region. In the holidays, we spend a lot of our time in our VW campervan, exploring new parts of the UK and Europe.

"We are really excited about developing a House culture that is caring, stimulating and fun. It is important that the girls are able to use their experience in the Sixth Form to learn the skills that will support them as they move on to the next stage of their lives. We aim to provide an environment that will allow them to succeed and be prepared for their future."
