Wellbeing Talk - Managing Screen Time
Staff, parents and girls enjoyed an informative and thought-provoking presentation by Dr Aric Sigman on the Management of Screen Time.
The links to poor health, lower grades and reduced social skills due to excessive use of screens were made clear.
- Girls should not mix their use of technology for study with recreational use, eg. TV, social media, surfing the internet, and should switch off alerts during study.
- Recreational use of screens should amount to a maximum of two hours per day.
- All screens should be turned off for at least 30 minutes before going to sleep.
- Clear rules should be set by all families.
College aims to create a community-wide policy which will benefit all the girls.
