Alzheimer’s Society Walk

As part of the Wellbeing Programme, all UC4 girls and SFC medics have an information session about living with dementia and are invited to become a ‘Dementia Friend’. We now have around 250 of our CLC girls who are Dementia Friends.

A group of girls took part in the recent Memory Walk for the Alzheimer’s Society at Pitville Park, to help reduce the stigma of living with dementia and also to raise money for this excellent charity. The girls walked approximately seven miles, with thousands of others on a glorious autumn day, and all received a medal from the Mayor of Cheltenham.

Eloise Bolitho, Jojo Burridge, Sophia Wolfram and Ophelia Clark committed to running the walk and finished first. The girls also had the chance to meet Sir Geoff Hurst, who opened the event and completed the walk himself.  It was wonderful to see College represented in this way in our town.
