Art Exhibition Private View

This year’s exhibition of artwork produced by GCSE, A Level and IB students opened on 23rd May with a Private View.

The event was extremely well attended by the artists from UC5 and SFC2 and their families, as well as by staff. The quality of the work on display, the range of media and the diversity of approach were a testament to the girls’ skill and creativity, as well as to their willingness to explore ideas and respond to the challenge.

The thought and care that the Art Department had given to curation and display was very much appreciated by the students, who were clearly thrilled to see their work exhibited collectively, and it was a joy to see the girls showing such a keen appreciation of each other’s work.

The atmosphere was one of joyful celebration, honouring all that had been achieved by the girls and their teachers over the past two years. The exhibition remains open until Tuesday 19th June and can be viewed by prior arrangement with the Head of Art, Ms Whitehead.
