British Schoolgirls' Races 2019

This week, the College Ski Team headed to the French resort of Flaine to compete in the British Schoolgirls' Races.

The weather was mixed: very cold throughout with a great deal of snow.

There were two good training days, followed by two cracking days of racing in which the team were delighted to claim their biggest haul of medals to date.

Binia had some outstanding performances and won the U16 Non-registered Combined New Flaine Cup, the U16 Non-registered Slalom Junior Cup, placed second in the U16 Giant Slalom MacCloud Cup (non-registered) and, most notably, was third overall in the U16 Combined LSC Salver.

The B team of Nicole, Sonya and Fevroniya claimed third place in the combined events of Slalom and Giant Slalom, seeing off some stiff competition in the process and proving that the CLC Ski Team has considerable depth.

The CLC race training programme with Kandahar Racing begins again in the Summer Term. Any girls interested in joining should contact Mrs Guest.
