CLC at Cheltenham Science Festival

This year’s Science Festival was another amazing six days of Science, with events both in our Parabola Arts Centre and Imperial Gardens.

College sponsored three events, The Secrets of the Teenage Brain, Science and Suffrage and The Future of Human Communication, which were all introduced by CLC girls. We also sponsored the popular Family Science Trail.

Girls of all ages attended events and took part in activities in the Discover Zone, Cyber Zone and MakerShack, and we welcomed leading mathematician Hannah Fry, who came into College to talk to Lower College girls.

We also hosted the Pioneers of Science Dinner in the Princess Hall, bringing together speakers from the Festival and members of our community involved in STEM and medicine, including current Sixth Form girls, Guild members studying at university and renowned alumnae such as Dame Mary Archer, the Chair of the Science Museum.
