CLC wins the University of Bristol Economics Schools’ Competition

Six SFC1 Economists attended the University of Bristol Festival of Economics Schools’ Day in November. They were joined by approximately 60 students from six other schools, including Bristol Grammar School, the International School of Geneva and Malvern College. There were a number of excellent events during the day, including the chance to meet lecturers and professional economists.

However, the main focus of the day was the competition in which students were asked to make a presentation on the topic of robotisation, and what the UK government can do to reduce any possible damaging effects from it. We were all more than delighted when our team was awarded first place as judged by lecturers from the Universities of Bristol and Bath. The judges commended our team both on the innovations of their suggestions, and the rigorous arguments they gave in support of them.

The team members were:
Olenka Bordakova
Polina Galieva
Amy Hine
Clare Leaver
D-Nee Pulsirivit
Henrietta Rawson
