On a very hot Saturday morning we held our annual House Athletics competition. It was a great occasion in which staff, girls and parents came together to celebrate sporting participation, determination and excellence.
There was a wonderful atmosphere at Field, with supporters encouraging and cheering the fantastic efforts of all girls, and we had a large number of girls across all year groups performing to the best of their ability in both track and field athletics.
It was brilliant seeing girls stepping up during the recent House Swimming competition. They should all be very proud of their efforts and of swimming with such determination; they represented themselves and their Houses superbly.
It was also great to see girls volunteer to assist with the gala - their input was invaluable. Sport is not just about performing, but also about officiating and supporting in many other ways. Indeed, all Lower College girls contributed to the event by creating an amazing atmosphere, and their support ensured their swimmers swam with incredible energy!
Congratulations to all who took part, and a particular well done to the 51 girls who set new personal bests.
