LC1 Life Skills
The LC1 pupils have had great fun during recent wellbeing sessions designed to help them develop various useful skills. They have worked through a range of tasks and experiences to improve their ability in practical, social and emotional life skills, and they have thoroughly enjoyed the engagement with their peers as they have done so.
Sessions have helped them take part in discussions and activities in all manner of things such as dining room etiquette; road safety; planting and weeding; sewing a button or name tapes; ironing a shirt; climbing a tree and tidying up!
The focus has been on teamwork, resilience and ways to engage with others in a kind and polite manner. They have discussed the value of empathy and being inclusive, and have been encouraged to commit random acts of kindness as often as possible!
Last Friday, the girls were presented with special life skills badges for completing the course and I am sure these will be worn with pride!
