National Biology Week 2017
Once again, College enthusiastically embraced National Biology Week (9th - 13th October) with activities every break time in the Lower College Quad.
The traditional ‘Big Biology Bake-off’ had the largest number of entries ever, with a particularly sterling effort by St Margaret’s with a plethora of fairy cakes decorated in biological themes, ranging from brains to cacti.
This year’s SFC2 Biology Reps introduced new activities, including ‘making slime’, which proved very popular with the younger girls. The biological crossword and ‘Madlibs’ that they designed were also a great hit.
Our photo competition, which involves taking a photo with a biological theme within the College grounds, has attracted a large number of entries from girls of all ages and from staff. The winners will be announced in November.
