LC1 Nature in Art trip

On Thursday 19th October, all LC1 girls travelled to 'Nature in Art' at Twigworth, near Gloucester.

We were split into groups and took part in three fun activities. One was watercolour painting, another was visiting the gallery and drawing some of the objects, but I really enjoyed the third activity, which was felt making.

We made felt with wet wool and soap and then made really colourful pictures. We met an artist who did amazing nature paintings and he showed us his books which were full of pictures that were incredibly detailed. It was also really interesting because his father was Norman Thelwell, who illustrated books of cartoon ponies which are very funny.

Even though it was raining for most of the day, we spent some time outside and I really loved seeing all the sculptures, especially the golden eagle.
