PGC - CV Workshops with Philippa Robinson
Following great success last year with her series of talks and workshops, Philippa Robinson returned to College this term.
Philippa is a Guild member and former Vice President and Head of Recruitment and Training for the Investment Banking Division (Europe) at Goldman Sachs.
So far this term, she has given two talks and held a number of workshops. In her first talk 'How to write a CV' she addressed a large audience of UC5 girls and discussed the importance of highlighting the wide range of experiences, academic achievements and skills that they have.
This was followed by a series of CV workshops. In groups of two or three, she reviewed the girls CVs and the group then worked together to help ensure that it would stand out and present them in the best possible light.
She also addressed a group of LC3 and UC4 girls on the topic 'Do you really have nothing to go on your CV?' This helped the girls reflect on the skills they gain through all the activities available at College and how this can be part of their CV when they need to write one.
It is a pleasure to see the girls leave these sessions with greater confidence and appreciation of everything they do. We look forward to welcoming Philippa back to the PGC again soon.
