PRINCIPAL’S LECTURE BY PHILIP COLLINS

The Principal’s Lecture Series is a termly event where leading speakers are invited to address the girls and to which the CLC community are invited. In October, SFC girls, parents, former parents and Guild members gathered in the Princess Hall to hear to an engaging talk from The Times leader writer, Philip Collins on the importance of politics, how it impacts everything and why we should care whether or not it’s being done well.

The lecture included international issues and searching questions on current political issues, as well anecdotes and topics from his time as Tony Blair’s speechwriter. Members of the CLC community gathered for a buffet lunch afterwards and many then headed off to events at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.
