Recording Session for College Choir CD

College Choir returned to Cheltenham a few days before the start of the Spring Term to record a CD in the Princess Hall. Over two days, the choir recorded a number of favourites from its core repertoire, including Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine, Schubert’s setting of Psalm 23, Gott ist mein Hirt, and Blatchly’s For the Fallen.

Also recorded were a number of pieces written especially for College Choir, including Mr Hawley’s beautiful anthem May the road rise up to meet you, perennial favourite from Leavers’ Prayers God be with you by former CLC music teacher, John Wright, and arrangements by the choir’s director, Mr Parker.

The CD will be released later in the spring.
