Religion, Philosophy and Ethics Conference 2018

Wednesday 31st January saw CLC host its annual Religion, Philosophy and Ethics Conference, attended by over 300 students from across the South West.

College was delighted to welcome Simon Blackburn, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge and faculty member at the New College of the Humanities, and Dr Julian Baggini, founder of the Philosophers' Magazine.

Professor Blackburn spoke about the incoherence of theism, while Dr Baggini discusses the methodology of ethics. Students were also able to attend an examinations masterclass with CLC's Mrs Victoria Porter, who is a former examiner for OCR. The conference was well-received by students and has been a great source of further discussion.
