Speech Day 2018

“The passion in this place is crazily eclectic, and so [it] feels completely electric. Throughout my seven years, it has been brimming with energy, and with budding interests and growing confidence […] Be excited, never change.” - Zara, Senior Prefect, Class of 2018

On Saturday 7th July, girls and staff were joined by parents and guests for Speech Day 2018.

An outstanding keynote address was given by Jonathon Porritt CBE, co-founder of Forum for the Future and an eminent writer, broadcaster and commentator on sustainable development, as well as a former CLC parent.

He spoke to the girls and guests about the environment challenges facing us today and for the generations to come, as well as a positive outlook on the future and bringing about change.

Other highlights of Speech Day 2018 included the welcome from the Chairman of College Council Ms Libby Bassett, a moving speech by Senior Prefect Zara and the Principal's Address from Ms Eve Jardine-Young.

Girls, parents and guests were also able to enjoy a film looking back over the time spent at College by our outstanding Class of 2018 and a film celebrating the theme of Leadership at College.
