Hockey

A combined team of SFC2 girls to UC4 girls enjoyed hosting The Little Flower Academy, a girls' high school from Vancouver. This is the second time the touring side have included us in their UK tour and it was great opportunity to welcome them again.

We had a excellent match, with the visitors taking the victory and we look forward to hosting The Little Flower again in the future.

National Cross Country Success

On Saturday 18th March, Victoria Shaw represented Gloucestershire at the English Schools' National Cross Country Championships in Norwich. She had a strong race to finish 212nd in the U20 race and was the 4th athlete home for Gloucestershire. This is a fine achievement particularly given that in her previous races representing the County, Victoria she has been ranked 8th and 6th within the Gloucestershire team. She has made excellent progress this season and has another year ahead of her racing in this age group.

Senior House Lacrosse was also a great success, with St Austin’s securing the win and St Helen’s finishing as runners up. The format of the day was eight-a-side, played on smaller pitches. This really tested the girls' fitness and allowed all players to get fully involved in house sport.
