Skiing

Congratulations to Nicole (UC4) and Alex (UC4), who received the Most Improved Skier Award and Best Newcomer Award respectively at Gloucester Ski Club.

Athletics

Congratulations to the LC1 and LC2 teams for securing gold and silver respectively in the School Games Indoor Athletics. The future is bright for the Summer athletics season.

Hockey

Congratulations to Olivia (UC5) and Rebecca (UC5), who were part of the team crowned U16 Indoor South West Champions. They now go through to the national finals, which will be held in January.

Rowing

Congratulations to Evie (SFC1), who, following her 12th place at the GB Junior Rowing trial on 17th November, has now been invited to a GB training camp in Spain next month.

She is one of only eighteen girls to be invited.

Swimming

Hosting the annual Cheltenham & District Schools Team Relay Championships, our swimmers made the most of having home pool advantage.

Our senior quartet of Éire (SFC1), Nicole (UC5), Kathlyn (SFC1) and Holly (UC5) obliterated the event record for the medley by over seven seconds, and lowered the freestyle mark by two.

Éire, the lead-off in the medley, also lowered her SFC1 backstroke record.

Our youngest age group were also in fine form, with our LC1 foursome of Tara, Adele, Alex and Tessa setting new LC1 records.

Yet it was the impressive depth of swimming which really shone out of this event, with CLC fielding eight teams across the competition, all of whom produced excellent swims.

Senior girls

Medley and freestyle relays - CLC Green 1st, and CLC Blue 3rd.

Inter girls

Medley relay - CLC Blue 2nd, CLC Green 4th, and CLC White 5th.

Freestyle relay - CLC Blue 2nd, CLC White 4th, and CLC Green 7th.

Junior girls

Medley relay - CLC Blue 3rd, CLC White 7th, and CLC Green 8th.

Freestyle relay - CLC Blue 3rd, CLC White 6th, and CLC Green 8th.

Congratulations to Éire (SFC1), who captained the South West Team at the ACF National Swimming Championship. Despite the very competitive field, she won the 100m backstroke, as well as coming a very close second in both the 100m individual medley and the 50m fly. Éire also set a new National Record for Backstroke (1:18:56).
