SWIMMING

Congratulations to our senior quartet who all swam superbly at the English Schools Team Finals. The foursome beat their regional time by nearly two seconds to finish 19th in the country.

Senior House Swimming proved to a great night of racing with eight new PB’s set and three records. Highlights came in the Guild Relay, with St Helen’s superb solo effort to smash the championships record, whilst Sophie Tebbs (SFC2) rewrote the College record books for her year group's 50m Breaststroke, breaking an 11-year-old record. Congratulations also to Trinity Donohugh who set a new SFC1 Backstroke record.

HOCKEY

Our U16 girls qualified for West Finals, by beating Wycliffe 5-2 and losing to Dean Close 1-3.

LC1 and LC2 House Hockey was played with great spirit and enthusiasm. The girls worked tirelessly to secure the points for the Overland Shield. Well done to the winning Houses, Farnley and St Clare.

CLC girls spent a week with the GB Gold medalists, with a special visit from Hollie Webb carrying out a coaching clinic and some of the senior girls watching Alex Danson play for Clifton Hockey Club. The girls had a mixed set of results against Dean Close, Bromsgrove and RGS Worcester, but an impressive win for the U15 team beating Dean Close 2-1. Good luck to all the teams competing in the indoor championship and the 1st team at the West Finals on Thursday.
