Upcycled Fashion Show 2018

The atmosphere at this year’s Upcycled Fashion Show was particularly joyful and the number of entries larger than ever! Every year it becomes harder for the girls to come up with new and innovative ways of repurposing old clothes, textiles and rubbish, but they never cease to amaze the audience and judges with their ingenuity and creativity.

This year’s garments included outfits made from curtains, trampoline nets, used stamps, old tights and toilet rolls. The standard of all the entries, whether sewn or stapled together, was very impressive. The winners were Amy (SFC1) for her toilet roll cape and Larissa (LC3) for her curtain dress. The winning House entry was from girls in Bellairs, who used the Royal Mail as their design inspiration.

Our thanks go to Sweaty Betty and Caroline Charles for prizes.
