World Book Day 2017

Thursday 2nd March 2017 marked the 20th World Book Day, celebrating authors, illustrators, books and reading in over 100 countries across the world.

Ahead of the day, literary posters and quotes went up around College to inspire the girls to read a range of books and explore different genres.

To celebrate the day, our LC1 girls, as well as the Library staff and English teachers, including our Head of Lower College, dressed up as well-known fictional characters or in literary-themed costumes. The girls also took part in a number of activities, including creating a display board of the titles they are currently reading and a literary treasure hunt around the College Library.
