Investing in the future

In the 19th century, the founding of College redefined girls’ education and our reputation spread nationally and globally. We are committed to continuing our pioneering role in the education of young women, offering them outstanding choice in both the academic and co-curricular spheres, to ensure that they are prepared to take their place in an increasingly complex and challenging world.

In order to maintain the quality of this exceptional and historic learning environment, we are making an investment in our facilities and estate that is second only in scale to that of our founders.

The boarding refurbishment programme has seen the building of a new junior boarding house and the full refurbishment or significant improvements made to the others.

Our Health and Fitness Centre opened in 2018. The facilities include two sports halls, a climbing wall, a refurbished 25m swimming pool, a multi-purpose activity studio, dance studio, five squash courts and a 58-station fitness gym with free weights, spin, rowing and erg areas.

Over the next decade we plan to establish a bursary endowment fund and continue to invest in major capital projects.
