Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

At the heart of our vision, mission and values is the shared commitment to strive for a more just and equitable society.

As we continue to learn and strive to improve, we have made a steadfast commitment to build a welcoming and inclusive environment at College, where diversity is valued and where every pupil can reach their full potential without prejudice or discrimination.

Our Commitment

We will not tolerate racism or discrimination of any kind at CLC, whether direct or indirect.

At College, we believe that this does not only mean taking the appropriate action when issues arise, but also committing to ongoing education and training for our entire staff and student body. We are continuing to discuss, review and make changes to a number of areas, including our curriculum content and the representational groups at College, to better reflect the wide diversity within our community and our history.

We are continuing to encourage ongoing and open discussion with current pupils, staff, parents, alumnae and our wider community, to ensure that our initiatives bring about thoughtful and permanent change.

We all have the ability to make this a more positive and inclusive reality at College and in our wider lives.

Progress

CLC has partnered with Inclusion Labs, a purpose driven company that works to embed diversity, equity and inclusion into every young person’s educational, cultural and personal development.

Under their guidance, we are conducting an audit of perceptions, behaviours and plans for the future, giving everyone the opportunity to express their views and experiences of being part of the CLC community, and enabling College to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
