13+ ENTRY
Fearless ideas lead to exciting futures.
Welcome to UC3 (Year 9 / 13+), where each September we welcome a significant number of new students who join our existing pupils moving up from Lower College.
Upper College students are supported to find courage in intellectual curiosity, grow compassion for their community and build the self-belief that will power them through their GCSEs and beyond.
Entry Process
We have a limited number of spaces available for September 2026 entry. Please get in touch with our Admissions team to discuss your next steps.
Please note that the standard admissions deadlines for entry in September 2027 have now passed. If you would like to be considered for entry in 2027, please complete an Enquiry Form as soon as possible and enquire about our June entry process.

Our Scholarship Programme covers Academics, Music, Art and Sports. Scholarships provide talented students with extra tuition, networking events and opportunities to develop their skills.
Scholarship information is sent to all those who have accepted their place in the summer of Year 7. Scholarship assessments take place in the January and February of Year 8.
Scholarships do not carry a fee remission, but our means-tested bursaries do. We are currently welcoming bursary applications for LC1 (Year 7/11+) Day and Sixth Form (16+) Day and Boarding Find out more through the links below.
If you have missed the application deadlines we are occasionally able to fast track an application, although we cannot guarantee that this will result in a place. For a conversation about late entry options for your daughter, please complete an Enquiry Form on our Admissions Portal.
Care, Support and Community
80% of those joining us in UC3 are welcomed into one of six Junior Boarding Houses, and 20% join the close-knit community of our Day House.
Within houses, students form close bonds, whilst also making friends in other houses through their school lessons and the many social events throughout the year.
Our experienced tutoring and pastoral staff help them settle into College, adapt to their new routine, and remain with them through their GCSE exams.
Educational Excellence has to be about the broadest possible stimulation and set of experiences and opportunities.

Common Questions
Year 9 candidates are required to attend an Assessment Day, which includes group discussions, activities and complete written and adaptive online tests in Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. The day is also an opportunity for girls to meet their peers and find out about the opportunities at CLC.
In some limited circumstances, we are also able to offer assessment days at a test centre in Hong Kong in October - please contact us for more information about this. In order to complete the assessment day in Hong Kong, you must first have visited CLC. Your visit must have taken place by 30th September 2026.
An early entry assessment is available to be taken during Year 6. Assessment for this entry point would take place at the same time as the assessment for candidates sitting the LC1 (Year 7) tests.
Visiting us prior to the Assessment Day means that you can experience CLC in person, envision life as part of our community, and ensure we are the right school for you.
