Pupils with the strongest performance in our Autumn cycle of entrance assessments are invited to further assessments and interviews for an Academic Scholarship in the February of Year 6.

Auditions for Music Scholarships will also take place in the February of Year 6.

Scholarships do not carry fee remission, but Scholars benefit from our bespoke Scholarship Programme.

Means-tested bursaries, known as Beale Awards, offer fully or partially funded boarding or day places at College - from 1%-100%, depending on circumstances.

We are currently welcoming bursary applications for 2027 for LC1 (Year 7/11+) Day and Boarding.

2026 Entry

We are currently closed for applications.

2027 Entry

We are now accepting applications for entry in 2027 - please see below for more details on the application process.

If you have missed the application deadlines we are occasionally able to fast track an application, although we cannot guarantee that this will result in a place. For a conversation about late entry options for your daughter, please contact our Admissions team via the "Request a Callback" function on our Admissions Portal.

Becoming part of CLC

Pupils joining us in Lower College are welcomed into our vibrant and happy community. In LC1, approximately 50 boarders and 25 day girls join us from across the world, with plenty of opportunities to socialise and have fun together. Lower College tutors help pupils settle in and mentor them throughout their initial years at College.

Coming to CLC has given me lots of great opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. It's as if I know them from somewhere, but I haven't seen them before.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Candidates must attend an Assessment Day, which includes group discussions, activities and complete written and adaptive online tests in Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. The day is also an opportunity for girls to meet their peers and find out about the opportunities on offer at CLC.

In addition to UK testing, we offer an assessment day at a test centre in Hong Kong on a fixed date in October - please contact us for more information about this.

Autumn term begins at the start of September. Arrangements vary each year, but new students tend to have an induction a day or two before the term begins, to give them chance to settle in.

Year 7 (LC1) pupils also have the chance to make new friends and put their bravery into practice during the LC1 Adventure Day, where they climb to new heights, zip wire and take part in team bonding exercises.
