Day
Day
Being a Day pupil at Cheltenham Ladies’ College means being fully part of College life, while returning home at the end of the day.
Day students learn, perform, compete and explore alongside boarders across the College community. Their Day House provides a welcoming base throughout the school day - somewhere to study, relax, catch up with friends and feel supported by staff who know them well.
From morning arrival to evening activities, our Day Houses are lively spaces where friendships grow, ideas are shared and students develop confidence and independence.
Eversleigh
Eversleigh is home to our Junior Day pupils aged 11–16. Located just a short walk from the main College site, it provides a dedicated space for day students to gather before and after school, work on prep, practise music or simply spend time together.
The House includes comfortable common rooms, study areas and spaces for collaboration and quiet work. Students also enjoy time together over meals and refreshments throughout the day - either in House, or in our purpose-built Day Girl Dining Room, just 2 minutes walk away.
Eversleigh is led by two Houseparents: Mrs Bacon, who supports students in Lower College, and Mrs Proudlock, who oversees Upper College. Together with the House team, they ensure every student feels supported, encouraged and known as an individual.
"I work closely with all the professional and caring staff of Eversleigh to provide a warm and caring House where girls are equally valued and respected and their individuality embraced. We provide a nurturing environment where girls are encouraged and supported to develop and grow in all areas of their lives.
I originally joined College as Houseparent in September 2018 and now oversee the day girls in Lower College. I live in Gloucestershire with my husband and son. It is a pleasure and privilege to work alongside the girls and support them on their journey at College."
Mrs Bacon
Houseparent (Lower College)
"Eversleigh is a friendly House where students are valued and encouraged to take responsibility and show compassion towards the needs of others. It is my great privilege to work alongside our Upper College Day Girls where, with the right amount of encouragement and a real sense of fun, they develop a confidence that allows them to take an active and positive role in College life.
Having worked at College since 2010, I very much enjoy being a part of this busy and vibrant community. I hope that the girls thrive in a caring environment where they can join enjoy a great team spirit and have a positive attitude to their responsibilities, challenges and opportunities”

Bayshill
In Sixth Form, Day students move to Bayshill, located on the main College site and close to the academic departments and library.
Open from early morning through to the evening, it offers flexible spaces where our 50 Bayshill students can focus on their work, collaborate with friends or take time to recharge between lessons.
Supported by a small team of House staff, our Bayshill sixth form students develop independence, confidence and self-management that prepare them for university and life beyond College.
"I joined College in 1996 as a Teacher of Physics. In 2007, I left to retrain as a textiles teacher and returned four years later. I now teach Engineering, Enterprise and Technology (EET) and Textiles.
“Having undertaken a wide variety of pastoral roles, as a Sixth Form Tutor, a university advisor and Assistant Houseparent, I became Houseparent of Bayshill in 2014.
“I live in Stroud with my husband, Mick, which provides me with first-hand experience of the daily commutes that many of our girls make!
“We are a vibrant and inclusive community that welcomes visitors from the boarding houses. Bayshill girls are actively involved in all aspects of College life and make a valuable contribution to the numerous academic, cultural, sporting and charitable events that occur within College and the local community. Friendships are valued and strengthened through House social events – these seem to often involve pizza!”
