Beale Awards at CLC
A Cheltenham Ladies' College education could be more accessible than you think.
Through our Beale Awards, talented girls can access exceptional opportunities regardless of financial circumstance.. Available for both day and boarding pupils entering at Year 7 or Year 12, these awards support girls with academic potential who will thrive in our ambitious, supportive and welcoming community.
What is a Beale Award?
Named after Dorothea Beale, a pioneer in girls' education, the Beale Awards create life-changing opportunities for young women to discover their strengths, pursue their passions and build a fearless future.
Available for both day and boarding pupils, they provide means-tested financial support to families whose daughters have the potential to thrive at College.

A Transformational opportunity
Open to talented girls who may not otherwise have access to a Cheltenham Ladies' College education, Beale Awards cover up to 100% of the day or boarding fees. They also provide pro-rated support off associated school costs ie uniform, trips, co-curricular activities.
By helping families overcome financial barriers, Beale Awards help open the door to future possibilities.
|
Accessible and inclusive
We are committed to educating pupils who will flourish here, regardless of financial background. Beale Awards help create a diverse and welcoming community at College where girls from different experiences and backgrounds can thrive together.
|
Academic and pastoral excellence
Beale Award holders benefit from the same exceptional teaching, co-curricular opportunities and pastoral care enjoyed by every pupil at College. All our students are encouraged to develop their talents, build confidence and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
|
Fair and transparent
All bursaries are means-tested through an independent assessment process, ensuring support is directed to families with genuine financial need.
