A Level Results 2025
A Level results 2025
Pupils at Cheltenham Ladies’ College are celebrating exceptional A Level results today, with A* grades making up around a third (35%) of grades.
The A Level Class of 2025 has secured places at top universities across the UK, including Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Durham, Exeter, Liverpool, LSE, Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford, UCL, and Warwick, as well as the Goldman Sachs Degree Apprenticeship programme. Over half of the cohort (56%) secured three or four straight A*/A grades.
University courses range from Law at LSE, Design Engineering at Imperial, Archaeology at Durham, Psychology at UCL, to Sustainable Development at St Andrews, Biology at Oxford, History and International Relations at KCL, Exercise and Sport Sciences at Exeter, and Medicine at Aberdeen.
Many pupils have also secured places at top US colleges, including Cornell, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Pratt, Vanderbilt and Chicago, as well as world-leading institutions such as The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Penninghen, and on prestigious dual degree programmes at HKU and UC Berkeley, and Columbia and Sciences Po.
It's hard to fully express the joy and the pride that I feel for our pupils and our colleagues who have taught, challenged, championed and supported them. Education is, at its core, a partnership and I am delighted for them all as our pupils now turn to what the future holds for them.
Eve Jardine-Young, Principal
Mr Sumner, Head of Sixth Form, added:
“It has been a privilege to work with this cohort of students and I am proud that they are continuing their studies in such a wide range of fields at fantastic institutions worldwide.
“The support of our world-leading Professional Guidance Centre has been invaluable in helping students plan and submit their applications, and our Sixth Form tutors have helped them every step of the way.”
These A Level grades follow on from the school’s recent International Baccalaureate results, with an impressive average score of 38.9 and a number of students awarded 44 or 45 out of a maximum of 45 points, a score only achieved by around 2.6% of students globally.
