Art Scholars' Exhibition 2026
Art Scholars' Exhibition 2026
On Wednesday 11th February, we had an incredible evening in the PAC, where Art Scholars were given the opportunity to showcase their work and express their creativity.
Celebrating pieces from across LC3- SFC2, it was truly an inspiring and unifying experience, where we were all given a chance to unwind and engage in meaningful, uplifting discussions! This year’s exhibition focused on the theme ‘Clothing’, and a range of different subject matter was explored. This included cultural garments, clothing in response to movement, fashion, the discarding of clothes, and much, much more; it’s always so fascinating to read about everyone’s different interpretations. UC5 and SFC2 Art Scholars were represented through a photograph of their live work.
After the introduction to the theme, the first step was to explore the concepts, thinking about where to source the subject matter and the intended mediums. For me, it was particularly interesting how a piece of clothing becomes interlinked with its user, and I ended up carrying out a photoshoot of my favourite scarf. The whole process was truly unforgettable, and the exhibition was a celebration of the works made.
