Introducing 'Psyched!' CLC's Psychology Magazine

Introducing 'Psyched!' Magazine

Ever wondered why we like certain colours? What causes FOMO? Or why people lie? These are precisely the kinds of questions that Psyched!, CLC's psychology magazine, sets out to explore.

Psyched! is a student-led publication dedicated to making psychological concepts and cutting-edge research accessible to everyone in our school community. As a team, we tackle everything from classic theories to the latest findings in neuroscience, social psychology, and beyond – all written in a way that doesn't require a degree to understand.

I have always found psychology to be endlessly fascinating, yet I noticed it was inaccessible to most of our school community. As a Sixth Form only subject, it remains out of reach for younger students, and so the idea for Psyched! was born. After becoming a psychology representative, I brought this idea to Dr Norman. Her enthusiastic support gave us the green light to transform this vision into reality.

The project has become a collaborative IB CAS endeavour, with my teammates, Arina (SFC2) and Emilia (SFC2), working to bring each issue to life. What makes Psyched! special, is its fundamental ethos, ‘psychology belongs to everyone’. It thrives on diverse perspectives and interests. We actively encourage submissions on any psychological topic that captures the imagination of anyone interested; anyone can write for Psyched!, no commitment required.
