Eve Jardine-Young

Ms Eve Jardine-Young MA

Executive Principal

Born and raised in Malawi, Central Africa, Eve was an academic scholar at CLC and has a degree in Engineering Science from Cambridge. She worked for Ove Arup & Partners before following her heart into the teaching profession. Her career in education spans 30 years, teaching Economics and holding positions including Director of Studies, Head of Sixth Form Development and Housemistress in both co-educational and single-sex (boys) schools, before taking up the role as Principal at College in 2011, and moving to her current role as Executive Principal in September 2025. Her time at CLC has seen curriculum and co-curricular innovation, as well as significant refurbishment and development of the College estate.

A member of GSA, BSA, and HMC, Eve is also a Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Gloucestershire, Trustee of the Centre for Alternative Technologies (CAT), and was Chair of the World Leading Schools Association (WLSA) for five years, She is a member of the Boarding Committee of the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA), and contributes to conferences and peer discussion seminars on women’s leadership, careers of the future and the fourth industrial revolution, holistic education and wellbeing, and professional development within education.

Jemima Edney

Mrs Jemima Edney MA NPQH

Head of College

Jemima joined as Head of College in September 2025 and holds a Masters in Educational Leadership and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).

Jemima joined from Bishop Wordworth’s School, Salisbury, where she was Deputy Head. She also has extensive experience in the independent sector within both single-sex GSA and co-educational HMC schools, has been a resident houseparent for five years and was Head of Boarding at City of London Freemen's School for six years. A Music graduate from Durham University and a qualified music teacher, Jemima has always combined her music teaching with sports coaching. She has been Director of Sport at both Blackheath High School (GDST) and King Edward’s Witley, which offers both A level and the IB Diploma programme.  An alumna of CLC (and hence a member of Guild), Jemima also has experience of governance as the Safeguarding Lead Governor at CLC in recent years.
