Congratulations to UC5 student Livvie, who has progressed through to the semi-finals of the BBC Young Chorister of the Year 2023. As one of the founding choristers of the Gloucester Cathedral Girls’ Choir, Livvie balanced her time in Lower College with her duties at the cathedral, rehearsing and performing multiple times each week, as well as Saturday and Sunday services.
She eventually took on the role of Head Girl Chorister, and since leaving the cathedral has continued to sing in College Choir, as well as continuing her instrumental studies as a Music Scholar.
Following a video round, Livvie was invited to compete in the televised finals in early October.
The Semi Final will be broadcast on Songs of Praise on BBC1 on Sunday 26th November at 1.30pm. The episode will be available on BBC iPlayer following the broadcast.
