Breast Cancer Now Walk 2023
19th May 2023

CLC staff have been wonderfully supportive of the Pink Ribbon Walk at Blenheim Palace on Saturday 13th May in support of Breast Cancer Now – an important charity that funds world-class research and care for anyone affected by breast cancer. While not everyone was able to join us on the walk; Mrs Dabrowska, Mrs Flatley, Mrs Wilczynska, Miss Brown and I were buoyed along by the many good wishes and fantastic support from the wider team at CLC.

We walked 10 miles, mingling with a colourful and celebratory festival of walkers, all enjoying the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside encapsulated by the Blenheim Palace estate. There was great conviviality amongst the participants, all united in their determination to help raise funds for a very worthy charity. The sense of connection was heightened by the glorious surroundings we appreciated together. We ambled through bluebell carpeted woods and alongside fields of sheep and newly born lambs, culminating with a circuit of Capability Brown’s Great Lake, just before we passed the Palace itself.

Supporting this charity helps to change the lives of men and women affected by breast cancer. It is a cause close to our hearts, with CLC staff and families impacted by this disease. Sometimes, when faced with things we can’t fully control, the opportunity to focus on something positive and hopeful makes a difference. Indeed, anything we can do to improve outcomes for those facing the uncertainty that breast cancer brings is certainly worthwhile!

Breast Cancer Now  helps to make life-saving discoveries and is there to offer expert support to anyone, the whole way through their breast cancer experience, so it is well worth supporting. We are thrilled to have raised over £1000 so far! You can see our fundraising link here
